NEKL: Storm 1 vs Uni 2

Hello again! Welcome back to our mildly crazy world of korf (just the 4 hours today). Compared to our recent visits to Edinburgh this was a nice trip over the Tyne to Storm.

Now when I say this was Uni 2 vs Storm we seemed to have a distinct lack of boys available so thank you to old boy Peter for coming back and helping us out. Obviously with Storm we weren't overly expecting too much but it was a good chance to work on stuff and build on the improvements we have made over the last few weeks.

The first 15 minutes was good but lacking in attack however defensively we were on it! After a quick time out though and some words of wisdom to just calm things down a bit things started to click. Our attacking structure was much better and Jeremy got us off the mark with a brace. By half time we were well down on the scoreboard but performance wise we had improved drastically.

After half time, Chris got a rather opportunistic runner thanks to a very tired, rather hungover Marko and it looked like we could be on a roll having scored three in a row unanswered. But alas you can't keep Storm out for long and although we continued to play well, we couldn't quite get the end product we needed and the game finished 24-4. (still a better result than the first team got!)

MVP for this match goes to Jacob for one of his best performances to date and for keeping Kyle relatively quiet by his standards.

Thank you to Ben also for his post-game training session.
