We're Back Baby!!

GOOOOOD EVENING NEWCASTLE! How are you all? It's been a while hasn't it.

For those of you joining us for the first time, welcome to our slightly chaotic blog. Firstly, a massive thank you to everyone who has joined the club over the summer. You've made the club the strongest it's ever been and we are really grateful. So here's a quick rundown of everything we have planned for the year ahead.

This weekend we have our opening league game on Sunday against Titans, 5:15pm at the Sports Centre, and if you can't make it down to watch we are hoping to get some live tweeting going at last ( @nclkorfball). We will be debuting our brand new kit as well so we should be loooooking good ;) Then on Thursday we have a friendly against Northumbria in the battle of the newbies, swiftly followed by the Lancaster Beginner's Tournament on Saturday 27th where we have TWO teams entered!

Speaking of two teams, we are delighted to announce we have two teams in BUCS this year. Everyone is buzzing it bodes well that we are really struggling to choose our best 12 for the tournament. We don't have long either as this year's preliminaries are on 1st December at Strathclyde. As a warm up we're glad to be heading back to the SKA Cup on Sunday 11th November. We had a great time at the tournament last year and then in Edinburgh afterwards.

So as you can see we have quite a lot of stuff happening and we've been back at uni less then a month. We've bought a brand new red away kit which is saucy as, and our new korfers contain some absolute gems.

Not tried it yet? This Sunday we have a Give it a Go session planned so grab a free ticket from the NUSU website and come down! You'll get to watch a great match afterwards as well so make sure you come.

On a personal note, we as a committee are really pleased to see how well its going and how much you guys are enjoying it. Keep it up on see you all on Saturday.

Until next time, Howay the Korf!
